ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is responsible for supporting all Merchandising functions for Finisterre’s global omni channel business. Collaborating to implement Merchandising strategies and processes. Managing all trade and planning activities. Ensuring all KPI’s are met while delivering growth across all channels
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for completing weekly trading analysis on category performance, providing key performance indicators relating to sales, stock, profit, and markdown
- Review and make recommendations for trading actions on over/under performing styles and categories trading behind plan.
- Closely working with online team to optimise online sales performance and ensuring good stock availability for the online channel.
- Work with the buying team to range build for relevant clothing categories, working cross functionally with the wider product team through the critical path process.
- Understand product critical path and work cross functionality to ensure stock arrives ahead of launch periods and trading plan activity, communicate changes to the wider business
- Work with Merchandiser on Terminal stock management including opportunities for clearance events.
- Management of stock values by location to ensure that stock is in the correct locations to potentialise sales, liaising with wholesale to understand and opportunities to drive this channel.
- Manage category level WSSI to understand future commitment requirements and stock position and present monthly updates to Head of Merchandising with OTB recommendations.
- Manage line flows on core products alongside AM and request OTB requirements through WSSI meeting.
- Ongoing review of retail allocations optimising offering to drive sales through space available.
- Review and cost markdowns & promotional activity calculating effect on profit and communicate this to the internal business
- Assist Merchandiser and Head of Merch with lessons learned end of season analysis to support future season planning
- Forecast qtys for future seasons for the buying team to support long lead fabric production
- Coach and mentor junior team members of the Merchandising team.
- Ongoing review of Merchandising processes to drive improvements and efficiencies
Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FINISTERRE
- Relevant aspiration and interest in being part of a multi-channel retail business
- A minimum of 3 years Merchandising experience. Already a Junior Merchandiser or a strong Senior Assistant Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandiser ready to step up.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experienced in WSSI management
- Excellent numerical & analytical skills with good attention to detail & ability to communicate and present figures
- Good understanding of the product development cycle and supply chain
- Self-aware, good communicator, networker with strong interpersonal skills
- Organised and the ability to work to deadlines with accuracy
- Self-motivated and committed to developing your skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a busy, dynamic environment
- Willingness to own and drive your personal development plan, and open to asking for and accepting feedback on performance
- Commitment to inclusivity and sustainability, and social and environmental sustainability
- Passion, energy and aspiration in line with Finisterre values, products, brand and customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
